A hopper scale operates on a simple fill–weigh–discharge principle. Material enters the weigh hopper through feeders, valves, or conveyors. The hopper is mounted on a weigh hopper load cell, which continuously measures the weight during filling. Once the target weight is reached, the system stops feeding automatically. The batch is then discharged through a gate, screw, or conveyor. After discharge, the system resets and starts the next cycle. This automatic loop ensures continuous operation with minimal human intervention. This process improves efficiency. It reduces manual handling and ensures every batch is measured accurately and consistently.
